Made a trip to the offshore island of Lan Yu Island in Taiwan for an assignment with the local media. The island is 2.5 hours ferry ride from South of Taiwan, Kenting.

The potter at Ying Ge, Taiwan caught my attention when she’s so engrossed in her work. I sit through the process of how she mould the clay into a finish product. Look simple but take lotsa lotsa practice.

The vibrant night markets in Taipei have always been a popular tourist destintion in Taiwan. I wrote a column in the local newspaper, Lian He Zao Bao, Singapore in Jan 2010 about the few famous night markets.

Haji Lane used to be a very run down one lane traffic street in Arab Street cultural area in Kampung Glam area. Over the last 3 years, it has underwent many transformations and have evolved into a hip, youngster cultural area bustling with youth entrepreneurs. You can see many youngsters taking the bold steps to set up their concept shops in tiny shops in this nostalgic lane. Many shops are decorated very nicely and is very inviting to people who visited the place.
